Hi, my name is Ian MacIntyre and I am the sole proprietor of Brush Strokes.
I provide you, the client, a High Quality interior and exterior residential painting services in Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley.
I also specialize in installing all types of wall paper including Grass cloth, silks, murals and wide Vinyls.
I have been in the painting business for over 40 years now and have built up a vast knowledge of the trade in that time, working for myself both here in Kelowna for the past ten years and running my own successful painting and decorating company back in England.
I can honestly say I enjoy my work and have always looked at each job individually, building up a friendship and trust between myself and the client.
Properties I have worked on here in Kelowna vary enormously from a one bed apartment to a 10.000 square foot house. Each project demands a specific amount of time be put aside to enable me to start and finish each one on time.

After leaving school I was fortunate enough to be offered an apprenticeship with a large painting and decorating company in England.
It was originally a five year course which was condensed into a three year course which meant a lot more time spent at collage learning all aspects of the trade from highly trained masters of the trade. We covered everything from the preparation of surfaces e.g. sanding, filling, paint stripping, chemical etching, glass engraving, gold leafing working on a variety of finishes such as wood, metal, plastic, concrete, drywall to name a few.From here we were taught to apply various types of paints to these surfaces, the products we used were water based, acrylics, latexes, oil based paints and many forms of stains and clear coats. These were all applied using different methods of application.
